Creative Portrait Composite & Editorial Magazine Concept

Digital Tattoo Integration, Environment Replacement & Print Application

This project transforms a flat studio portrait into a stylized editorial image set inside an abandoned industrial space.

I replaced the background, rebuilt the lighting and color, created and applied extensive Japanese-inspired tattoo artwork, and finished the image through AI-assisted development and detailed Photoshop compositing.

The final portrait was then adapted into a conceptual magazine cover, showing how one finished image can extend into print, promotional, and editorial use.

  • Environment Replacement | Moved the subject from a plain studio setting into a large industrial warehouse.

  • Digital Tattoo Integration | Created and applied extensive tattoo artwork across the torso, arms, and legs while following the body’s shape, lighting, and perspective.

  • Lighting Reconstruction | Adjusted highlights, shadows, and color to match the stronger directional light of the new environment.

  • Portrait Retouching | Refined skin, clothing, hair, contrast, and small distractions throughout the image.

  • AI-Assisted Image Development | Used AI tools to support tattoo creation and lighting exploration, followed by manual compositing, masking, color correction, and Photoshop finishing.

  • Editorial Design & Print Application | Developed a fictional magazine cover to give the finished portrait a clear commercial and publishing context.
